Respect for varied opinions key to nation-building: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri | Wahdat e Ummat mein Minhaj e Risalat Conference
Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that Muslim Ummah needs unity in its ranks. He said all schools of thought are like flowers having different fragrance and when they are combined, they become a beautiful bouquet of Islam. He said that respect for the varied opinions will lead to unity, adding that following the path of Allah Almighty and His Prophet (pbuh) is the only way forward to overcome the challenges.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while addressing a Unity Conference held under the banner of Jamia Urwa-tul-Wusqa. Allama Jawwad Naqvi, the head of Jamia and his companions warmly received Dr Hassan Qadri when he reached Jamia Urwa-tul-Wusqa. Justice (r ) Nazir Ahmad Ghazi, Allama Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Dr Jaffar Ronas, Allama Shuja-ud-Din Sheikh, Allama Rizwan Abidi, Allama Mir Asif Akbar, Prof Hafiz Saeed Raza Baghdadi, Dr Ali Waqar Qadri, Jawwad Hamid, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, and Chaudhry Irfan Yousaf were also present on the occasion.
Chairman MQI Supreme Council further said that radicalism and extremism has gravely undermined the teachings of Islam. He said that we need to forge unity in our ranks to get rid of the scourge of extremism. He said that all Imams representing different jurisprudence used to have feelings of respect for each other. He said that we need to take a leaf from our elders’ book. He said that it is by respecting the difference of opinion that we can rise together as one nation.
