Orphan Care Home honours its top-performing student
Aghosh Orphan Care Home, MQI’s flagship welfare project, arranged a reception in the honour of Ramzan Shabbir, one of the students who showed amazing performance in the annual Punjab schools games. He got first and second positions in the long jump and 100 meter race respectively. About 8000 students representing 600 schools attended the competition.
The sports contests were held under the banner of Deputy Commissioner Lahore in the National Hockey Stadium. Director Aghosh Complex Col. (r ) Mubashir Iqbal congratulated Ramzan Shabbir on showing excellent performance. He said that in addition to moral, spiritual training and the imparting of quality education, the special attention is paid to sports and physical training of the students. He commended the hard work of Ramzan Shabbir and sports instructor Malik Manzoor Hussain and asked the students to emulate the example of their colleague.
Col. (r )Mubahsir Iqbal said that the hospitals of the country whose grounds animate with the sports activities remain deserted. He said that the sports create leadership qualities and teach discipline to the students. He said that year-long sports activities are held at Aghosh Complex to train the students and prepare them for various competitions.
