The 72nd birthday ceremony of Shaykh-ul-Islam celebrated across the world
A ceremony was held at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League to celebrate the 72nd birth anniversary of MQI’s founding leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. In addition to thousands of workers, the prominent attendees included President MQI Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Pir of Kot Mitthan Sharif Khawaja Moin-ud-Din Koreja, Pir of Pakpattan Sharif Dewan Ahmed Masood Chishti, Secretary General MQI Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Mian Zahid Islam, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah Gilani, GM Malik, Syed Musharraf Shah, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, Noorullah Siddiqui, Jawwad Hamid, Sufi Maqsood, Sahibzada Qasim, Rana Waheed Shahzad, Sheikh Farhan Aziz, and Raheem Ali.
The proceedings of the ceremony got underway with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Qari Allah Bakhsh Naqashbandi, Qari Abdul Majid Noor, Qari Syed and Khalid Hameed Kazmi Al-Azhari, whereas renowned Qawwal Sher Miandad, Muhammad Afzal Noshahi, Shahbaz Qamar Faridi, Dr Sarwar Naqshbandi, Zaheer Bilali, Amjad Bilali, Shahzad Brothers and Razaul Mustafa had the distinct honour of singing praises and Naat in the honour of the beloved Prophet (pbuh) of Allah.
In their remarks, the speakers threw light on the various aspects of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s personality. They paid rich tribute to him for his scholarly, intellectual, religious, and welfare services as well as for his role as ambassador of interfaith dialogue and harmony in the world. They said that Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri has dedicated his whole life to the mission of serving the faith, adding that the Islamic centers set up by him globally have become the minaret of light. A special Dua for good health and long life was made on the occasion preceded by the cake-cutting.
The workers slaughtered 127 goats on the occasion of Shaykh-ul-Islam’s birthday. The prayer ceremonies were held at the Islamic centers across the world including in the US, UK, Canada, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany and Holland. The cities where these ceremonies including seminars and workshops were held included Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, Multan, Peshawar, Muzaffarabad, Sukkur, and Hyderabad.
The central ceremony held in Lahore was attended by Haji Manzoor Hussain, Abdur Rehman Malik, Farhan Javed, Sanaullah Khan, Qazi Faiz-ul-Islam, Sohail Raza, Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Dr Ali Waqar, Naeem-ud-Din Chaudhry Advocate, Shakeel Tahir, Mahr Muhammad Azam, Engineer Saleem, Shahzad Rasool, Haji Muhammad Ishaq, Ghulam Farid, and Iqbal Mustafavi.
