Establishment of peace is foremost responsibility of an Islamic govt: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri has said that the foremost responsibility of an Islamic government is the establishment of peace. He said that the progress in every walk of life is connected to peace and stability. He said that Islam has emphasized the establishment of peace more than anything else, and termed those who spread anarchy and chaos in the land as deserving of accountability. He said that only those societies would progress and become stable where there would be peace.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) focused on the establishment of peace at the time of the founding of the State of Medina. He (pbuh) gathered all the tribes and presided over the Medina Pact to establish peace on a sustainable basis. He said that it was only after the Medina Pact that the doors of economic progress and stability opened up. He said that the Muslim world should prioritize the establishment of peace in order to ensure economic progress.
Chairman MQI Supreme Council said that the Islamic world is suffering from instability and divisions because of the acts of commission and omission. He said that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) was such a fervent advocate of the dignity of life and the establishment of peace that he (pbuh) particularly got this provision included in the Medina Pact. It was agreed that a collective resistance would be put up to those who exploit others and spread chaos and anarchy in the society. He (pbuh) equated the unjust killing of an innocent person as the killing of the entire humanity.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the holy month of Ramadan is the month of virtue, patience and piety. He said that the faithful should vow to be bridge-builders between the people by bringing their hearts together. He said that we should stay away from the attitudes that cause anarchy and disappointment.
