Shaykh-ul-Islam announces to set up 25000 centers of knowledge
Delivering his special address to the thousands of the residents of Itikaf City on the third day of Itikaf, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that protecting one’s faith in this day and age has become one of the toughest challenges. He said that the economic conditions have deteriorated to such an extent due to the continuous flawed policies that it has become nearly impossible to earn one’s livelihood through legitimate means and stay on the path of piety.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri said that inflation would never decrease in a society whose rulers are incompetent and corrupt nor would peace return to such a society. He said when fire envelopes the area, the first priority should be to save oneself from it, then one’s family and the people of the neighbourhood. He said the fire of corruption, inflation, lawlessness and the disobedience of Allah is raging everywhere in Pakistan, the people should save themselves from this fire as per one’s physical and economic prowess. He said if one thinks that an institution or an individual would bring an end to skyrocketing inflation and put out this raging fire, then it is but the deception of one’s ill-commanding self.
Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the reform of a society starts with the reform of an individual who is a member of that society. He urged the residents of Itikaf City to focus on their personal reform and well-being and do their bit to make things better in a community they are part of.
Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri announced to set up 25,000 centers of knowledge to make society a hub of peace. He said that these centers of learning would prove to be a milestone in the revival of moral, spiritual and human values. He said that we need to raise awareness among the masses and motivate people to play their part which takes up the mission of restoring the dying values and returning peace to the society. The curriculum of the centers of knowledge was also launched on the occasion.
