Foundation-stone for Minhaj College for Women in Daska laid
The foundation-stone for Minhaj College for Women was laid down under the banner of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) in Daska.
Director Institutes and Projects (MWF) Syed Amjad Ali Shah addressed the ceremony and said that Daska is the second city where Minhaj College for Women, a flagship educational project, is going to be set up after one in Lahore and Khanewal. He said that the women hold an important place in the work and services of Shaykh-ul-Islam who has led from the front in espousing the cause of women empowerment. He said that the doors of higher education will have to be opened on women to make Pakistan prosperous.
Former provincial minister Bao Rizwan also spoke in the ceremony and said that Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has presented a well-knit and organized system of education in Pakistan. He said that the MQI institutions are providing affordable but quality education. He offered his tribute to the MQI leadership for their services in the field of human welfare and education in particular. He said that Minhaj College for Women is a great gift for the people of Daska.
Those who spoke on the occasion included Allama Sanaullah Rabbani, Aslam Basra Qadri, Allama Amir Anwar, Chaudhry Mukhtar Ahmad Sahi, Haji Saleem, Babu Nisar Ahmad Qadri, Abdul Sattar Anjum, Qadeer Hussain Anjum, Hafiz Ghulam Mustafa, Allah Rakha Qadri, Adil Munir Shakir and others.
Syed Amjad Ali Shah particularly congratulated and thanked Syed Qaiser Abbas Gilani who has donated 4-kanal land for the construction of the college.
