Welfare of common man was at the root of Quaid-i-Azam’s struggle: Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

As a politician, lawyer and the head of the state, Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah not only preached the respect for and supremacy of law but also showed this through his personal example. The problems Pakistan is facing today can be resolved by acting upon the Quaid’s motto of unity, faith and discipline. The Quaid-i-Azam’s life holds many lessons for the people of Pakistan and we should study more about his political struggle that led to the establishment of the new country.

President MQI Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri made these remarks while addressing a ceremony held to pay tribute to the Quaid-i-Azam on the occasion of his 148th birth anniversary. In his speech, he threw light on the various aspects of the Quaid’s personality and highlighted the need for making the young generations aware of his teachings.

Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that the Quaid-i-Azam translated Allama Iqbal’s dream into reality thanks to his sheer will power, political sagacity and leadership. He said that the welfare of the common man was at the heart of the Quaid’s struggle, adding that we need to bring our focus back on improving the quality of life of the teeming millions for which Pakistan came into being. He said that all segments of society would have to work in unity to make Pakistan a peaceful and prosperous country in line with the ideals of its founding fathers.

Brig. (r ) Iqbal Ahmad Khan, GM Malik, Muhammad Rafique Najam, Noorullah Siddiqui, Jawwad Hamid, Shahzad Rasool, Sheikh Farhan Aziz, Mian Mumtaz and others were present on the occasion.
