MQI delegations calls on new Consul General of Turkiye

Director Interfaith Relations of MQI Sohail Ahmad Raza called on H.E. Mr. Durmus Bastug, the Consul General of Republic of Turkiye in Lahore. Deputy Director Interfaith Relations Shahzad Ahmad Khan was also present on the occasion.

The MQI leaders congratulated the Consul General on assuming his office. They also presented bouquets to him and expressed best wishes to him on behalf of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. They said that Pakistan and Turkiye are bound in a relationship of brotherhood, history and common faith. They invited H.E. Durmus Bastug to pay a visit to the MQI secretariat and Minhaj University Lahore which he was pleased to accept.

The Turkish Consul General thanked Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and MQI leaders for their best wishes and prayers.
