MWF to hold mass marriage ceremony on March 3, 2024
A meeting of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) was held at the central secretariat under the chairmanship of Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur on Feb 16. It was decided in the meeting that the annual social gathering for poor and deserving daughters will be held on March 3, 2024 (Sunday) at the central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. A central committee, led by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, was formed for the arrangements and preparations of the wedding ceremony.
While briefing about the arrangements for the mass marriage ceremony, Director of Institutions and Projects at Minhaj Welfare Foundation, Syed Amjad Ali Shah, emphasized that all necessary items will be provided with dignity to deserving daughters who would be starting a new life.
He said that 23 Muslim and Christian couples will start their new lives together. It was mentioned that Minhaj Welfare Foundation has, for the past two decades, has arranged for the marriages of thousands of deserving daughters in the cities including Lahore, Wah Cantt, Khaniwal, Doltana, Badomalhi, Gujrat, and Khanqah Dogran. It was stated that Minhaj Welfare Foundation is fulfilling its religious, ethical, spiritual, and national obligation.
The meeting was further informed that arrangements for the mass marriage ceremony have been initiated. The ceremony will be attended by Chairman Supreme Council Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Prof Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, along with leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and other important personalities belonging to different walks of life.
Brigadier (Retd) Iqbal Ahmed Khan, Noorullah Siddiqui, Jawwad Hamid, Sohail Raza, Shahzad Rasool, Shafqat Nadeem, Allama Ashfaq Chishti, Hafeezur Rahman Khan, Haji Muhammad Is'haq, Saeed Shah, Chaudhry Riaz, Sidra Karamat, Umm-e-Habiba Ismail, and other leaders attended the meeting.
