Promoters of hatred are enemies of unity among Muslims: Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Addressing the “Unity of the Ummah Conference” organized by the Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, President MQI Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri stated that those who spread hatred are enemies of the unity of the Ummah. He advised to beware of such elements of discord. He said that believers never harbor enmity amongst themselves. The founding-leader of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, he said, imparted the lesson of love, brotherhood, and unity.
Dr Hassan said that Minhaj-ul-Quran International has never advocated sectarianism. Islam presents teachings of respect for humanity. “At present, Pakistan is facing countless issues; the biggest challenge being understanding and intolerance. The winds of love and brotherhood should blow from the pulpits and prayer mats. The scholars should play their role in uniting the Ummah,” he maintained.
President MQI said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri wishes to see his workers and followers as ambassadors of unity, peace and harmony. The Unity of the Ummah Conference held in Shalimar Town marked the 73rd birthday, was held under the leadership of renowned spiritual personality Sajjada Nasheen of Astana Alia Ali Pur Syedan, Pir Syed Munawar Hussain Shah Jamati.
The conference was attended by a large number of leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran, including Amir of United Jamaat Ahl-e-Hadith Syed Ziaullah Shah Bukhari, Vice-Chairman of the Council of Muslim Unity Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi, Secretary General of Minhaj-ul-Quran Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Mufti Muhammad Ramzan Sialvi, Allama Syed Sabtain Sabzwari, Deputy Secretary-General Allama Muhammad Idris, President of the Union of Arab Schools Pakistan Mufti Muhammad Zubair Faheem, Allama Mufti Imtiaz-ul-Haq Qadri, Dr. Mir Muhammad Asif Akbar, Mufti Ghulam Asghar Siddiqui, Allama Muhammad Ashfaq Chishti, Hafiz Khalil Ahmad Qadri, Allama Rana Nafees Ahmad Qadri, Mufti Muhammad Rafiq Randhawa, Allama Khalil Ahmad Hanfi, among others.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said on the occasion that we will not allow anyone to play with the peace of Pakistan. Today, all schools of thought are united, and our goal is to make Pakistan a great country.
Syed Ziaullah Shah Bukhari said in his address that all the efforts of Minhaj-ul-Quran International are for the unity of the Ummah. He said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri is promoting peace and love in the world.
Vice-Chairman MWM Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi said that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) mended broken hearts, adding that the strength of Islam lies in unity.
Mufti Muhammad Ramzan Sialvi said that Muslims are weak because they are divided; the day the Muslim Ummah becomes united, the zenith of excellence will be reached. Allama Syed Sabtain Sabzwari said that the teachings of the Quran are "do not divide", whoever speaks of division is actually advancing the agenda to weaken the Muslim Ummah.
Mufti Muhammad Zubair Faheem said that hatred is being spread through social media. There are elements trying to divide the nation and mislead the youth. We cannot leave our children at the mercy of free social media. He asked the youth to use social media to promote unity and solidarity.
President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council Lahore Allama Muhammad Rafiq Randhawa welcomed the participation of scholars and dignitaries from various schools of thought in the conference. Pir Syed Munawar Hussain Shah Jamati prayed for the unity of the Ummah, world peace, and the well-being and prosperity of Pakistan.
