Women’s rights can be protected through Islamic teachings: Allama Rana Idris
Deputy Secretary General of MQI, Allama Rana Muhammad Idris, delivered a lecture on "The Status and Role of Women in Islam" under the banner of MQI Lahore chapter in Aziz Bhatti Town. He emphasized that the protection of women's rights is possible through the teachings of Islam. Islam, he said, abolished customs that were against the dignity of women. Women are the most important part of any society's progress, and today's women must adopt the example of the Mothers of the Believers. He said that before the advent of Islam, women were greatly oppressed and deprived of social and societal respect. He said that the message of Islam for women was freedom from the bonds of oppression and exploitation. He stated that the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever raises and educates three daughters, teaches them manners, and arranges their marriage, for him is paradise."
