Thousands of the faithful to join Itikaf City today
The arrangements for the Itikaf City have been completed under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Today, on March 31, thousands of the faithful from across the country and abroad will become part of the Itikaf City.
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri will deliver special speeches after the Taraweeh prayers. The theme of his speeches this year is "Why Believe in God and Embrace Religion? [Khuda ko Kiyun manein? awr Mazhab ko kiyun Apnaein?]"
Shaykh-ul-Islam has said that attacks are being made on the faith and beliefs of young people in the propaganda war, and the new generation is being misled. He said that it is necessary to refute this with Quranic, Sunnah, and rational arguments.
Yesterday, a meeting of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, chaired by Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, reviewed the arrangements for the Itikaf City. Dr Hassan directed the administration not to compromise on the protection and facilities for women. He said that provisions should be made for the food, ensuring availability of clean water, and uninterrupted electricity supply of the devotees.
Secretary Itikaf Committee Jawad Hamid briefed him at the site of the Itikaf City. He said that MQI Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur and other leaders will welcome the caravans of devotees at the City after the Asr prayers.
This year, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri will deliver training speeches on "Reformation of Conduct and Etiquette of Life" at the City of Seclusion. President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri will deliver educational and training speeches on "The history of Sufism and the teachings of Sufis".
Young scholar Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Al-Madani Al-Qadri will deliver speeches on "Various aspects and paths of Allah in the context of love and passion". President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League International Dr. Ghazala Qadri, Fizzah Hussain Qadri, and scholars of Minhaj-ul-Quran International will give special talks during training sessions.
Naib Nazim-e-Aala Media Affairs, Noorullah Siddiqui said that the Itikaf City (City of Seclusion) of Minhaj-ul-Quran International is fundamentally a great institution of education and learning, teaching and learning, and moral and spiritual training. He said that young people will benefit from enlightening speeches this year. He said that special arrangements have been made for the coverage of the events.
