Guiding principles of Islam the best means to reform social and economic life: Allama Rana Idrees
Deputy Secretary-General of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees, has stated that Islam is a complete code of life, providing comprehensive and truthful guidance at every step. He mentioned that Islam not only teaches Muslims the principles of worship and devotion but also the etiquettes and methods of earning a livelihood and seeking sustenance. He said that Islam offers a pure system that instructs Muslims to avoid unlawful earnings and to distinguish between halal (permissible) and haram (forbidden) provisions.
Allama Rana Idrees emphasized that every Muslim should pay special attention to rectifying their circumstances and making their lives beneficial by adhering to the distinction between halal and haram, in accordance with the desires of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH). He expressed these views while addressing the Friday congregation at Jamy Shaykh-ul-Islam in Model Town.
Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees highlighted that Islam supports economic development and increased productivity but condemns any profit obtained through unlawful means as forbidden and akin to the fire of hell. He stressed that trade should be conducted with honesty, devoid of deceit, lies, broken promises, and false statements. Following the guiding principles of Islam leads to the reformation of social and economic life, he said.
He urged that the correct path and method for every Muslim is the one indicated by the Quran and Sunnah. Muslims should align their life's path according to the Quran and Sunnah, he added.
