Struggle for justice of Model Town's martyrs to continue: Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri
On the 10th anniversary of the Model Town tragedy, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the founder and patron of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, stated in his message that he prays to Allah Almighty to elevate the ranks of the martyrs and grant perseverance and patience to their families.
He said that despite 10 years passing and the Supreme Court's orders, an impartial investigation of the tragedy has not been allowed to complete. The families waiting for justice are moving from one court to another, but justice remains elusive. He said that as long as there is breath in their bodies, they will continue the legal battle for justice. He stated that every possible avenue has been pursued for justice, but there has been an astonishing level of apathy and negligence regarding the provision of justice to the victims.
In his message, Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri mentioned that MQI has been supporting the children of the martyrs for the past 10 years, providing them with education, employment, marriage expenses, and even building homes for them.
“For the pleasure of Allah and His Messenger (PBUH), MQI will continue to provide all possible support and assistance to the families of the martyrs, including ensuring they receive justice,” he said.
