Dr Hussain Qadri 2024

Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, in his statement on the martyrdom anniversary of the second Caliph, Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him), mentioned that Hazrat Umar is renowned in history as a just and equitable ruler. He was a special companion of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him). His acceptance of Islam elevated the honor and dignity of Islam, and it instilled fear and awe in the enemies of the Muslim community.

Prof. Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) was like fragrant and colorful flowers in the garden of Islam. He is a fortunate and highly esteemed companion of the Prophet (peace be upon him). It is said that Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) is among those fortunate companions of the Prophet (peace be upon him) for whom the Prophet of Allah (peace be upon him) sought blessings from Allah, the Lord of Majesty. Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) was a successful head of state who, during his caliphate, brought about reforms in every sphere of life, ensuring that nations continued to benefit from them.

MQI President said that the second Caliph instituted many political, administrative, and economic reforms during his caliphate, which are remembered as the priorities of Umar. It is said that the era of Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) is the brightest and most illustrious chapter in world history.

His name is still synonymous with courage, steadfastness, truthfulness, fearlessness, justice, and fairness, he added.

Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri said that Hazrat Umar Farooq (may Allah be pleased with him) was a powerful ruler over an area of more than 2 million square miles, but this world knew of his piety, simplicity, and asceticism, as many anecdotes attest to his humility. Amir al-Mu'minin Hazrat Umar Farooq conquered more than a thousand cities during his caliphate, establishing the true system of Quran and Sunnah there.
