Welcoming Rabi' al-Awwal: Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore Announces Schedule for Torch-lit Processions

Torch-lit processions will be taken out from 100 locations in Lahore's towns and union councils

Welcome Rabi ul Awal Conference Under Minhaj ul Quran Lahore

A meeting of Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore was held at the Central Secretariat under the chairmanship of President Lahore, Professor Zulfiqar Ali. The schedule and routes for the torch-lit processions to welcome Rabi' al-Awwal were finalized in the meeting. It was also decided that more than 100 torch-lit processions would be taken out from various locations across all towns and union councils of Lahore to mark the occasion. Leaders and workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran, Minhaj-ul-Quran Ulama Council, Minhaj Youth League, Mustafavi Students Movement, Pakistan Awami Tehreek, and other forums will participate in these processions.

It was also decided in the meeting that public figures, traders, workers, farmers, lawyers, students, political, social, and religious leaders would be invited to join these processions. The meeting was attended by Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore's Nazim Amjad Hussain Chaudhry, Senior Vice President Dr. Sultan Mahmood, Haji Amjad, Captain (R) Abdul Majeed, Afzal Bhatti, Rehan Chaudhry, Ramzan Ayoobi, Shahid Iqbal Yousafi, Miraj Khalid, Muhammad Hanif, and other leaders.

During the meeting, it was announced that on September 5, a torch-lit procession would start from Mughalpura Chowk to Shalimar Chowk; on September 6, from Guru Mangat Gulberg; on September 7, from Jallo Mor Chowk; on September 8, from Daroghawala; and on September 9, grand torchlit processions would be taken out from Last Minute Stop, Nishat Colony, Saddar Cantt, Bhatti Chowk, Gulshan Ravi, Shahdara, Badami Bagh, Raiwind, Township, Chuhang, Manga Mandi, Green Town, Chunggi Amarsidhu, Walton Road, Kahna, Yateem Khana Chowk, Samanabad, and other areas.

These processions will be led by central leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran. Torch-lit processions will also be taken out from Multan Road, Samanabad, Shahdara, Model Town, Imamia Colony, and Iqbal Town, along with Mawlid-un-Nabi (PBUH) gatherings.

While addressing the meeting, Professor Zulfiqar Ali stated that Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore would organize torch-lit processions and Milad feasts. He also mentioned that preparations for the 41st International Mawlid Conference at Minar-e-Pakistan have begun, with millions expected to participate from Lahore. He emphasized that there is no greater joy than the birth of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He added that Allah Almighty has commanded in the Quran to celebrate the arrival of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He said that Allah has ordered us to rejoice and be grateful for every blessing, and the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the greatest blessing of all. The Minhaj-ul-Quran Secretariat, Gosha-e-Durood, Jamia Shaykh-ul-Islam, and Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's residence will be decorated with lights and special illuminations at the start of Rabi' al-Awwal. He concluded by saying that Minhaj-ul-Quran has promoted the culture of expressing love and devotion for the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
