Book Launch of Dr. Hassan Qadri’s 'Dastoor-e-Madina' Held in Karachi

Guidance from the Dastoor-e-Madina can fulfill the practical requirements of a welfare state.
Iran’s Consul General, Dr. Farooq Sattar, and Justice (R) Shaiq Usmani shared their thoughts at the event.

The launch of the internationally acclaimed book "Dastoor-e-Madina aur Falahi Riyasat ka Tasavvur" (The Constitution of Madina and the Concept of a Welfare State) authored by Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, was held in Karachi.

Speakers at the event included Hassan Nourian, Consul General of the Iranian Consulate; Dr. Farooq Sattar; Justice (R) Shaiq Usmani; Dr. Ramesh Kumar; Mufti Ejaz Qadri; Advocate Kalpana Devi; Professor Dr. Suhail Shafiq; Hindu leader Krishan Lal Sharma; Dr. Rana Advocate; and Irfan Siddiqui. They hailed the book as an authentic and comprehensive research work on the Charter of Madina and the State of Madina.

In his address, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri emphasized that Dastoor-e-Madina and the State of Madina are not just historical references, but the Holy Prophet (PBUH) provided the world with a practical administrative and governance model based on the principles of a welfare state. Through Dastoor-e-Madina, a practical vision of a global community and a united Ummah was presented.

Dr Hassan said that in the State of Madina, minorities, women, and all other segments of society were granted complete freedom to practice their tribal traditions and religious rituals while enjoying full protection of life and property. The importance and relevance of the Charter of Madina, written 1,400 years ago, remain applicable even today, based on its practical principles.

H.E. Hassan Nourian, the Consul General of the Iranian Consulate, praised Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri's book, calling it a remarkable intellectual contribution for the Muslim community and humanity at large. He further stated that the people of Iran are aware of the research and literary contributions of Minhaj-ul-Quran and Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri and regard them highly.

Dr. Farooq Sattar appreciated that after a long time, Karachi, a hub of learning and literature, hosted such a grand book launch. He noted the beauty of the event was the participation of distinguished personalities from all religions and communities, sending a message of love and tolerance. He congratulated Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, Minhaj-ul-Quran, and Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri for organizing the event and thanked them as well. He added that Pakistan's lasting peace, stability, and moderation depend on such expressions of tolerance.

Justice (R) Shaiq Usmani remarked that this book is a valuable intellectual resource for young Muslim researchers. Dr. Ramesh Kumar said that after reading the book, he found it to accurately explain the true teachings of Islam. Advocate Kalpana Devi suggested that Pakistan should move forward with Dastoor-e-Madina as its guiding framework.

Professor Dr. Suhail Shafiq called the book a masterpiece, highlighting Islam's universal and eternal principles. Hindu leader Krishan Lal Sharma said the book teaches religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, as the Prophet of Islam ensured the protection of minority rights 1,400 years ago.

Dr. Rana Advocate emphasized that the book should be included in Islamic studies curricula at universities. Rizwan Siddiqui expressed optimism for the future after seeing intellectuals like Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri.
