Prof Dr Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri addresses Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference in Talagang

Belief in the finality of prophethood is a source of unity and harmony in the Ummah: Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri

Khatm e Nubuawat Conference Talagang

President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has emphasized that the belief in the finality of prophethood (Khatm-e-Nubuwwat) serves as a foundation of unity and harmony within the Muslim Ummah. He stressed the importance of strengthening one's faith to effectively safeguard this belief, noting that sectarian mindsets undermine the universal teachings of Islam. He remarked that the belief in the finality of prophethood gives a unified identity to the 56 Muslim countries globally, and every Muslim, regardless of sectarian affiliation, holds faith in this belief.

Anyone who does not believe in the finality of prophethood is considered outside the fold of Islam, he said. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri highlighted that 115 Quranic verses and over 225 authentic Hadiths affirm the belief in Khatm-e-Nubuwwat.

Speaking at the Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference in Talagang, he explained that the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ was sent to guide humanity and teach noble character. After the Prophet ﷺ, no other prophet will come, and Muslims must seek guidance from his exemplary life (Uswa-e-Hasana) and the Holy Quran.

The MQI President urged scholars, spiritual leaders, and clerics to play their role in safeguarding this belief. Although no new prophet will come, the righteous members of the Ummah, including saints, scholars, jurists, and reformers, are tasked with conveying the Prophet's ﷺ message to the people, he explained.

Dr. Qadri stated that Minhaj-ul-Quran International invites people towards love, peace, and brotherhood. He encouraged individuals to join the movement and strive to be such followers of the Prophet ﷺ who protect the belief in the finality of prophethood. He advised transforming one’s character, sweetening one’s speech, spreading love, and promoting brotherhood, unity, and knowledge while rejecting ignorance. He urged combating hatred and all forms of extremism to preserve the belief in Khatm-e-Nubuwwat.

The Khatm-e-Nubuwwat Conference was attended by Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najam, Muhammad Umar Qureshi, Muhammad Imtiaz Tahir, Colonel Khalid Javed, Tauqeer Awan, Muhammad Iqbal Mustafavi, Rafiah Arooj Malik, Irshad Iqbal, along with scholars, spiritual leaders, social workers, philanthropists, and religious and literary figures. A large number of people from Talagang, Chakwal, Kallar Kahar, Attock, and Mianwali also participated in the event.
