Death is the greatest reality of life: Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
Death is not an end but the beginning of a new journey: President of MQI
Address at the prayer gathering for the reward of the late mother-in-law of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri
The President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has stated that death is the greatest and undeniable reality of life. He said that this world is temporary, and we are all sent here as part of a test. He said that during gatherings for offering prayers and conveying rewards for the departed, it is crucial to understand that after death, only our deeds remain with us. Therefore, we must live our lives filled with righteous actions, good character, and in alignment with the pleasure of God.
The MQI President said that when we perform acts of reward (Isal-e-Sawab) for the deceased, it is to elevate their ranks, seek God's mercy and forgiveness for them. This practice, he said, not only benefits the departed but also serves as a lesson for the living to prepare for their own hereafter. He said that death makes us realize the fleeting nature of this world and begins a new phase of trials. For the deceased, the test ends, but for those left behind, a new test begins. Death is not an end but a new beginning, he added.
Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri emphasized that death is not about annihilation but understanding that life continues after a transition. He said that it is a doorway that leads from this world to the eternal rewards and blessings of the hereafter. The rewards and bounties that God has kept for His servants can only be attained after death. In this sense, death is a journey that takes us from the temporary world to the ultimate reality, he further opined.
The MQI President expressed these thoughts while addressing a prayer gathering held for the reward of the late mother-in-law of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, who was also his grandmother. She was the wife of Alhaj Mehr Ghulam Muhammad Qadri, the sister of Sufi Maqsood Ahmed Qadri, and the mother of Muhammad Sibghatullah Qadri, Muhammad Shafqatullah Qadri, Muhammad Qudratullah Qadri, and Muhammad Azmatullah Qadri. She was also the mother-in-law and paternal aunt of Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri prayed, "We ask Allah Almighty to elevate her ranks, forgive her, and bless her journey to the hereafter with His mercy and grace. She was undoubtedly a pious, righteous woman and a guardian of traditional religious values. In her presence, we always felt the greatness of her generation, her teachings, and her wisdom. May Allah grant her the highest rank in Paradise and elevate her status."
The prayer gathering was attended by notable figures including Allama Rana Muhammad Idrees Qadri, Professor Dr. Sajid Mahmood Shahzad, Syed Altaf Hussain Shah Gilani, Muhammad Shafi, Engineer Muhammad Rafiq Najm, Engineer Muhammad Tariq, Raja Zahid Mahmood, Dr. Noor-uz-Zaman, Allama Babar Ahmad Churahi (Imam of the Old Eidgah Mosque), and many central, provincial, and district leaders and workers of Minhaj-ul-Quran, along with local dignitaries, social, and religious personalities.
