Inaugural ceremony of 2-day sports festival held at Tahfiz-ul-Quran Institute
The inaugural ceremony of the two-day sports festival was held at the Minhaj Institute of Qira’at and Tahfiz-ul-Quran, attended by students, teachers, and other dignitaries.
The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran and a naat in praise of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), followed by the national anthem performed by children.
Key participants included the Director of Aagosh Complex, Colonel (R) Mubashir Iqbal, Principal of Tahfiz-ul-Quran, Muhammad Abbas Naqshbandi, Vice Principal Qari Khalid Hamid Kazmi, other teachers, students, and players from over 12 teams. During the opening ceremony, the players presented a colorful parade, tableaus, and impressive gymnastics performances.
Colonel (R) Mubashir Iqbal, while emphasizing the importance of sports in human life, stated that sports are a crucial means of physical and mental development for the youth. He added that promoting sports activities is essential for building a healthy society.
"Sports not only strengthen individuals physically but also highlight key aspects such as teamwork, leadership, and patience. Programs like the ongoing sports festival at Tahfiz-ul-Quran provide a platform for youth to progress and showcase their talents effectively," he said.
Principal Muhammad Abbas Naqshbandi remarked that sports are necessary for the mental and physical well-being of students. They play a significant role in character building. To enhance physical and mental abilities, it is imperative to promote sports.
