This is a night of mercy, forgiveness, and salvation, during which Allah bestows boundless pardon and blessings upon His servants. The word "Shab" means night, and "Barat" means freedom from sins, signifying that this is the night of deliverance from sins, the descent of divine mercy, and the acceptance of supplications.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri emphasized that on this blessed night, we should seek guidance from the lives of the righteous and learn how they devoted themselves to worship for the pleasure of Allah. He urged every Muslim to reflect on their past deeds, repent sincerely from the depths of their heart, and make a firm commitment to lead a life of piety and righteousness.

He further stated that prayer (du'a) is such a form of worship that can even change destiny, and on the 15th night of Sha’ban, Allah’s special mercy awaits the supplications of His servants, ready to accept their heartfelt pleas.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri advised the Muslim Ummah to value this blessed night, humbly bow before Allah, sincerely repent for their sins, and make a firm resolve to live their lives according to divine commandments and the teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).

Shaykh-ul-Islam emphasized that true success lies in adopting righteous deeds for the pleasure of Allah, earning halal sustenance, fulfilling the rights of others without negligence, and filling one's heart with the love of Allah and devotion to the Prophet

He further added that a person who remains devoted to Allah in times of prosperity also becomes worthy of His special mercy in times of trial. Therefore, we should always turn to Allah, express gratitude for His blessings, and strive to avoid His displeasure.

Shab-e-Barat provides a golden opportunity to seek forgiveness for our sins and improve our lives. Whoever sincerely repents on this night is granted access to the doors of Allah’s mercy and forgiveness, he added
