Disobedience leads to loss of blessings and mercy: Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri

Make I'tikaf a means of self-awareness, self-accountability, and closeness to Allah," says Shaykh-ul-Islam
Even after martyrdom, the teachings of Hazrat Ali (RA) continue to guide us

The founder and patron-in-chief of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, while addressing a gathering in Minhaj-ul-Quran’s city of I'tikaf on the topic of Divine Love and the Joy of Tawheed, stated that when disobedience to Allah increases, His blessings and mercy are withdrawn. He said that the Ummah is facing such a crisis today. He emphasized that Ramadan, especially its last ten days, is an opportunity for self-awareness, self-accountability, and seeking closeness to Allah. The Ummah must abandon a life of heedlessness, as it leads to destruction, and should seek Allah’s pleasure through repentance.

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri specifically advised the youth to refine their character and conduct in light of the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah. Success in both this world and the hereafter lies in devotion to faith and love for the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). He highlighted that true love for Allah becomes evident in times of hardship, and those who endure struggles in the path of truth ultimately reach their destination.

Speaking on the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Ali (RA), Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that his martyrdom is one of the great tragedies of Islamic history and a wound the Muslim Ummah still feels today. Hazrat Ali (RA) was a symbol of principles, justice, and bravery. His martyrdom teaches the Ummah to prioritize the success of the Hereafter over fleeting worldly desires. His life is filled with principles that continue to serve as a guiding light for collective life today, emphasizing patience, tolerance, justice, fairness, and service to humanity. Even after his martyrdom, his teachings remain a source of guidance for the Muslim Ummah.

In the Minhaj-ul-Quran city of I'tikaf, more than 50% of participants were youth, with around 5,000 women also taking part. Arrangements have been made to provide Suhoor and Iftar for approximately 15,000 people. The attendees are being given lectures on religious understanding in various study circles, while gatherings of remembrance and supplication continue throughout the night. Scholars, lawyers, and professionals from various walks of life are also participating.

Chairman of the Supreme Council, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, and Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri welcomed the attendees.
