The President of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has stated that virtue is not merely about outward actions; rather, its true essence lies in respecting relationships and not violating the rights of others. Today, whether out of ignorance or negligence, we often adopt behaviors that cause distress to others, whereas such actions are accountable in the sight of Allah Almighty.

While addressing thousands of attendees in the City of I'tikaf on the topic of Life Etiquette, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri referred to the lives of the Sufi saints, and said that they always promoted love for humanity and sought to console others. He said that it was due to their exemplary character and kindness that Islam spread across the subcontinent.

"The true standard of a person’s greatness is not their academic degrees, prestigious positions, or noble lineage, but rather their good manners and ethical conduct. The Holy Prophet (PBUH) emphasized the significance of etiquette and respect in all his teachings and stated, “I have been sent to perfect noble character," he explained.

Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further remarked that Minhaj-ul-Quran’s I'tikaf serves as a practical training ground for learning etiquette. He said if we refine our character, both our worldly and spiritual lives will be transformed for the better. He urged young people to continue studying the life of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) alongside their material pursuits and never let their connection with the Quran and Sunnah weaken under any circumstances.

The MQI President emphasized that Islam is a complete embodiment of etiquette and a reflection of exemplary morals, with the Holy Quran and the teachings of the Prophet (PBUH) setting the highest standards of life etiquette. The only way to develop a complete and dignified personality is to adhere to the guidance of the Quran and the noble traditions of the Prophet (PBUH).

"It is with this objective that Minhaj-ul-Quran’s I'tikaf is regarded as a practical training ground, where participants not only receive instruction in Islamic manners and ethics but also gain awareness of how to apply these principles in their daily lives, fostering both spiritual growth and practical implementation," he stated in conclusion.
