Italy: Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri Addresses the Martyrdom of Imam Husayn (AS) Conference in Carpi

Carpi, Italy (21 June 2026): Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, addressed the Martyrdom of Imam Husayn (AS) Conference in Carpi, Italy, highlighting the importance of love for the Ahl al-Bayt as an essential component of faith and a means of attaining the love of the Holy Prophet Muhammad ﷺ.

During his address, Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri cited the Prophetic tradition in which the Holy Prophet ﷺ said, “Whoever loves me should love Hasan and Husayn.” He explained that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ expressed unparalleled love and affection for Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husayn (AS), setting a timeless example for the Muslim Ummah.

He stated that one of the greatest means of attaining the love of the Holy Prophet ﷺ is through love for his blessed Ahl al-Bayt. The Prophet ﷺ repeatedly instructed the Ummah to cherish and honour his family, emphasizing their unique status and spiritual significance.

Dr. Hassan Qadri urged parents to instill love for the Ahl al-Bayt in their children from an early age so that this devotion remains a lifelong part of their faith and character. He noted that love for the Ahl al-Bayt is, in reality, love for the Holy Prophet ﷺ himself.

He further stressed that love for the Ahl al-Bayt, the blessed progeny of the Prophet ﷺ, especially Imam Hasan (AS) and Imam Husayn (AS), is not merely a part of faith but is at the very heart and essence of true belief.

The conference was attended by scholars, religious leaders, political and social figures, distinguished members of the Pakistani community, and office-bearers and representatives of Minhaj-ul-Quran International Italy from Zones 1, 2, and 3, including delegates from Napoli, Roma, Firenze, Milan, Reggio Emilia, Bolzano, and Verona, along with a large number of members, workers, and affiliates of the organization.
