Chairman Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Professor Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, has said that sincere love for Imam Hasan al-Mujtaba (AS) and Imam Husayn (AS) is essential for attaining the love of Allah Almighty and His Beloved Messenger, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). He stated that harboring malice or hostility towards the noble grandsons of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) is tantamount to causing pain to the Messenger of Allah, whereas loving them is a means of strengthening faith, attaining nearness to Allah, and earning the pleasure of the Prophet (PBUH).

He said that the sacred month of Muharram al-Haram brings a profound message of guidance, devotion to the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), renewal of loyalty, and steadfastness upon truth for the Muslim Ummah. Genuine love for the Blessed Family of the Prophet and a strong attachment to the Holy Qur’an protect individuals from intellectual deviation, discord, and trials, while guiding them towards spiritual excellence and closeness to Allah.

Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri further remarked that love for Imam Husayn (AS) is not merely an emotional attachment; rather, it signifies loyalty to the religion of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), unwavering commitment to truth, and the courage to stand firm against falsehood and oppression. He described the tragedy of Karbala as one of the most luminous chapters in Islamic history, establishing a permanent distinction between truth and falsehood. Through their supreme sacrifice, Imam Husayn (AS) and his devoted companions preserved the true spirit of Islam and the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) for all generations to come.

He emphasized that love for and adherence to the teachings of the Holy Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) are essential for the completion of faith. Those who sincerely love the Ahl al-Bayt and follow their exemplary path are blessed by Allah Almighty with abundant spiritual rewards, divine mercy, and elevated ranks in both this world and the Hereafter.

Prof. Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri added that the true message of Muharram is one of patience, selflessness, sacrifice, loyalty, and steadfastness in upholding truth. The great sacrifice of Imam Husayn (AS) continues to inspire the Muslim Ummah to raise its voice against oppression, tyranny, and injustice, and to keep the banner of truth and righteousness flying high.

He concluded by stating that attachment to the Holy Qur’an and the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) remains the foundation of the Ummah’s unity, intellectual guidance, spiritual stability, and lasting success.
