Strong nationalism answer to all challenges: Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi

Secretary General Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, has said the heroic sacrifices made by Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah for creation of Pakistan are exemplary in character. Only such leadership can bring Pakistan out of its present mess as is able to revive nationalism and prepared to offer sacrifices itself, rather than unilaterally demanding of people to do so. He expressed these views while delivering a keynote speech at the Minhaj University in a program organized in connection with birth anniversary celebrations of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah in Lahore today. He said the basis of Ideology of Pakistan was the ideology of Islam. The Quaid's Pakistan guarantees complete protection of the rights of minorities and the Muslims alike. Pakistan is facing dangers at its geographical borders today because its leadership failed to protect its ideological basis by putting the traditions, culture and values of our forefathers at the backburner. He said it was unfortunate that we had limited our national heroes to memorial meetings. Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi said the nation could successfully respond to the monsters of provincialism, ethnic and linguistic differences, and sectarianism if it revived the same passion which characterized the freedom movement. Dr Abbasi said all stakeholders needed to bridge their mutual difference for the protection of the motherland. He urged students to focus their attention on getting of knowledge as directed by Quaid-e-Azam as a first priority. "The students should implement the Quaid's slogan of 'work, work and only work' religiously in their practical lives for turning around Pakistan, he concluded.
