Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, Chairman of MQI’s Supreme Council, has said that skyrocketing price hike has snatched from people their right to a decent living. He said that the insensitivity of the ruling elite was grinding masses as tsunami of poverty and dearness became a marked feature of daily life. He said that prices of all items were far from being stable and the graph of inflation was registering an upward trend by the day. He said that people had become patients of anxiety and restlessness while the rulers did not have the eyes to witness plight of people, ears to hear their heart-wrenching woes and officials to govern and make life easier for them.
MQI (Milano, Italy) arranged a special talk of Ms. Sumaira Faisal, Coordinator of Minhaj Women League and Sister League, Europe) on the subject of Imam Hussain’s (RA) glorious services for promotion of truth, human rights and safeguarding the teachings of Islam in the face of physical, ideological and intellectual onslaught by Yazid. On Sunday, the 17th November 2013, the Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League (London) organized a Sirat-e-Syeda Fatima-al-Zahra (RA) program. The program commenced after Zuhr Salah with the recitation and translation of verses from the Holy Quran by Sister Zareeda Shafiq and Hafiza Maimuna Bukhari.

Ms. Sumaira threw light on the philosophy of epoch-making event of Karbala and what impact it had on history. She said that the great Imam (RA) knew that if he did not raise the banner of truth, Yazid would deal a huge blow to the Islamic teachings. So he chose to render the supreme sacrifice of his life and that of his kith and kin to save the religion of his revered grandfather from being disfigured.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-din Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of MQI, has said that journey of revolution was neither like other commonplace journeys of life, nor it is and nor it will be. He said that this caravan for revolution had its unique dynamics which distinguished it from other normal, everyday life journeys because the destination it was headed to was unique in its own way. He said that the journey of revolution had taken off and it would finally culminate after reaching its destination. He said that the wise are those who tread cautiously and with full preparation, adding that ‘prayer of revolution’ would be led by Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri and youth of MYL would be in the forefronts.

On 2nd November 2013, Women Youth League (Denmark) organised a one day training camp. The guest of honour at the event was the Minhaj European Council Co-ordinator, Sumaira Faisal, who came from Belgium to speak at the gatehring. The one day training camp was attended by youth and women from across Denmark
President of MYL, Shoiab Tahir, has asked the youth to prepare themselves to play their due role in the democratic movement for change under the leadership of Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He said that MYL was making earnest efforts to awaken the youth of the country by reaching out to them proactively. He said that the youth of Pakistan were determined to work for establishment of real democracy in the country.
Though a number of people served in key positions of MQI and contributed their share to the promotion of interfaith harmony, peace and love, fundamentals of MQI’s message, during the span of 32 years since its formation, yet the honour won by Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi is very rare to say the least.
Over the weekend of 26th to 28th July 2013, Muslim Youth League organised its fourth consecutive Spiritual Retreat, this time at Minhaj-ul-Quran International London and was attended by over 45 youth from all over London.
The Muslim Youth League UK–Sisters held their first combined Halaqa-e-Durood and Dhikr Mehfil in Bradford on 14th July 2013, marking the beginning of the gatherings due to continue on a weekly basis. The Dhikr gatherings were open to all and commenced in the early days of Ramadan in an attempt to establish a culture of spirituality within the youth. The turnout was brilliant as over 25 sisters attended the first gathering.

The youth should reject the present anti-people system to make way for real change in the country because time to bring about change is today. He who wants nearness of Allah Almighty today should make it binding upon himself to work for change in the country. MQI’s message is refreshingly different from other parties and organizations because it is revolutionary movement of the contemporary age struggling for restoration of people’s rights.

Minhaj Welfare Foundation in cooperation with Muslim Youth League UK and Penndel Community Radio Awaz 130.1 FM organized a fundraiser to help people suffering in Syria. The event took place on Sunday 26th of May 2013, at the Ace Centre in Nelson.
