Milad-un-Nabi celebrations were held in Oldham, under the banner of Muslim Youth League UK – Sisters on 1st March 2009 at Madina Islamic Centre, Coppice. The event was primarily aimed at the English speaking Muslim youth and all speeches were conducted in the English language.

The Muslim Youth League UK organised a ‘Guidance & Training Day’ in the company of Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri accompanied by Dawood Mashadi, Allama Sadiq Qureshi (Imam of MQI London), Shaykh Abu Adam Ash Sheerazi (President MQI NEC UK), Tahir Mohammed (General Secretary MQI NEC UK), and Ishtiaq Ahmed (Chairman MQI London branch).
Tasked with multiple tasks, Minhaj Reconciliation Council, Spain, came into being. Its mandate includes promotion of inter-faith & inter-cultural harmony, removal of misunderstandings associated with Islam, strengthening relations with the local governments and other organizations for resolution of problems faced by the Pakistani Diaspora, resolution of domestic conflicts among families through mediation, creation of awareness against the forced marriages and adherence to local laws and coordination of activities among different strands of communities etc.
Students at Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International London visited St Johns Church in Stratford (East London) as part of their interfaith work with the Faithful Friends organisation. The first visit of this project was to Minhaj-ul-Qur’an International London itself. At St Johns Church, some photos were displayed using a projector screen with the attendees being asked how important they were to them in their daily lives and whether they held any religious importance.
The annual meeting of Minhaj European Council was held in the Minhaj Islamic Centre, Barcelona, on January 17, 2009 in which a number of issues came under discussion. Amir of MEC Allama Hassan Mir Qadri, president Syed Muhammad Arshad Shah, Secretary General Allama Muhammad Iqbal Azam, senior vice President Muhammad Naeem Chaudhry, Nazim Welfare Dr Abid Aziz Khan, Nazim Minhaj Reconciliation Council Ijaz Ahmad Warriach, and Secretary Information Naveed Ahmad Undalsi participated in the meeting.

The Muslim Youth League UK (MYL UK) organised the ‘New Year Dhikr 09’ which took place at the Minhaj ul Quran International mosque in London. The event which took place at the eve of the New Year was focused around the remembrance of the Lord Almighty. The gathering was attended by more than 500 people consisting mostly of youth.
Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League organized a 'prayer night' on December 31, 2008, to welcome the dawning of New Year 2009 and for safety and security of the country in the central secretariat in the Model Town. A beautiful venue, decorated with electronic bulbs and heaters, was set up where separate arrangements were also made for female participants.
On the third of December 2008, Shaykh Muhammad Ramadan al-Qadri, principal of Farghana institute, visited the Netherlands on the invitation of MYL NL (Minhaj Youth League Netherlands/Holland). On the first day of his visit he delivered the concluding lecture of the ‘Sahih Bukhari Lecture Series’ which were organized by MYL Holland (under the banner of Al Hidayah) at the Erasmus University Rotterdam.
An All-Pakistan Youth Seminar was held in Iwan-e-Iqbal Complex Lahore at 1000 hours on Sunday, the 30th November, 2008 to celebrate the 20th Foundation day of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League. This seminar was held under the auspices of Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League and Iqbal Academy Pakistan. The title of the seminar was a poetic line of Allama Muhammad Iqbal: Islam tera des he tu mustafvi he (Islam is your homeland and you belong to the Prophet).

On Sunday the 9th November, the Muslim Youth League UK conducted its meeting & official launch at the James Graham Building, Leeds Metropolitan University. The meeting was attended by dozens of brothers who came from a number of towns and cities around the UK.
A new DVD lecture has been dispatched with the name of “Peace, Integration and Human Rights in the Light of the Quran & Sunnah”. This lecture is from the one day symposium that recently took place at Sheridan Suite, Manchester. This DVD has been sent to over 450 government officials including MPs, Lords and Members of European Parliament.

The 'Minhaj Kidz Club' was formed by the sisters of the Halifax Muslim Youth League UK on Sunday 26th October 2008.
The fourth day of Itikaf City dawned with the Fajr prayer on September 25, 2008. Talking to the participants after the prayer, Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said that Minhaj-ul-Quran International held a number of programmes like Itikaf city, International Spiritual Congregation and International Milad Conference.
When the proceedings of the first day of Itikaf got under way after the Fajr prayers, the participants of Itikaf in the courtyard of the Mosque were waiting for time to offer optional prayers of ‘Ishraq’ in the ‘Itikaf City’, a place characterized by understanding of religion, purgation of self, and repentance.
The Muslim Youth League UK – Sisters held their first ever promotional stand at the Sheridan Suite in Manchester on the 30th of August 2008. This was the venue for the conference delivered by Shayk-ul-Islam titled: Shariah: Clarity Amidst Confusion. Before the speech Shaykh-ul-Islam informed the attendees himself that there were MYL UK stalls and he encouraged all the youth to become a part of the MYL UK so that they may help in the uplift of the Deen of the Beloved Messenger (SAW).
