MSM organization Kallar Syedan formed

Mustafavi Students Movement (MSM) Rawalpindi chapter organized a seminar at Minhaj-ul-Quran office Kallar under the chairmanship of President of MSM Rawalpindi, Mr. Ali Raza, and Finance Secretary, Mr Farrukh Bilal were the special guests on the occasion. A large number of students attended the seminar. Addressing them on the occasion, Mr. Ali Raza, President of MSM, threw light on the basic concepts of MQI and the importance of struggle being carried out by it in the modern era.

Senior executive members of MQI-USA and Norway visit Central Secretariat

Mr. Zafar Iqbal Chaudhry, Mr. Manzar Khan from MQI-USA and Muhammad Sidique, executive member from MQI Norway, visited the central Secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International on January 23, 2010. Upon the arrival of the distinguished guests, the staff members of the Directorate of Foreign Affairs including Assistant Director DFA Rana Nafees Hussain and Secretary Welfare DFA Mr. Mian Muhammad Ishtiaq warmly welcomed them at the reception gate.

Principal Secretary to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri visits President Chamber of Commerce Lahore

Mr Muhammad Mustafa (GM Malik), the Principal Secretary to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, paid a visit today to Mr Zafar Iqbal Chaudhary, the President Chamber of Commerce and Industries Lahore. He extended his warm felicitation to Mr Zafar Iqbal Chauhdary for being elected to the venerable seat of the President Chamber of Commerce. Earlier, Shaykh-ul-Islam, who is in Canada these days, had already greeted Mr Chauhdary on telephone.

Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri speaks on radicalism, education and democracy

On Thursday January 14, a seminar took place at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam titled ‘Challenges for Muslim Youth’, organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Youth League Netherlands. The chief guest of this evening was Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, son of the renowned scholar Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He urged the youth present there to work hard for promotion of a culture of democracy and education and resist radicalism in all its manifestations.

MYL London organizes Dhikr programme to mark beginning of New Year

Call by Muslim youth leaders to end preaching hatred in universities

The Muslim youth leaders in Conferences held throughout universities in the UK have called on Islamic extremists to stop promoting hatred in British universities. The Muslim Youth League UK’s conference series comes just a few weeks after a former London student tried to blow up an American plane. Nigerian terrorist, Umar Abdul Mutalib, had been active in extremist groups while studying at University College London; it emerged after the Christmas Day attack.

Parliamentary seminar explores solutions for extremism

LONDON. In wake of news reports that extremist groups are influencing British students, the timing for the seminar on the topic of ‘Poverty, Radicalism and Religion’ could not be more pertinent. A London based organisation Minhaj-ul-Quran UK held a seminar at the Houses of Parliament to explore the root causes of extremism and radicalism in Britain and find methods of tackling the issue.

Shaykh-ul-Islam addresses American Muslim Council on ‘Islam & Peace’

The Event was organized at Hilton Hotel in Southwest area of Houston, the largest city in the State of Texas, and the fourth largest city in the United States.

MQI delegation condoles with Justice (r) Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday over death of his wife

On January 13, 2010, a high powered delegation of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, led by Amir-e-Tehreek Sahibzada Faiz-ur-Rehman Durrani, called on Justice (r) Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramday and condoled the death of his wife with him. Christmas ceremony under Minhaj Reconciliation Council (Greece)

Minhaj Reconciliation Council, a sub-branch of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Greece), has started functioning regularly. "Peace Conference" was held in October 2009 to formally inaugurate the Council, which was attended by a large number of people, representatives of different social, religious and political organizations of Greece. Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, president of Minhaj-ul-Quran Federal Council, reached London on his tour of England. A large number of workers and leaders of MQI received him at the airport. Sahibzada Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri started his organizational tour by presiding over a meeting of MQI UK, attended by the office-bearers. Addressing on the occasion, he said that terrorism was fast extending its tentacles across the world including Pakistan.

Muslims need to reach out to other communities

Muslims living in UK need to reach out to the followers of other religions and culture by living within their own religious limitations. Our great religion imparts the values of humanitarianism and peaceful coexistence along with others. Thus by reaching out to their countrymen, they would actually act upon the teachings of Islam. These views were expressed by Hafiz Sajjad Hussain, president of MQI Highway Cumb, in a ceremony held on December 23, 2009 in Buckinghamshire hospital.

The delegation comprised Muhammad Mustafa (G M Malik) (Director of DFA), Haji Muhammad Ilyas Qadri (Director Construction), Allama Ghulam Rasool (President MQI-USA) and Rana Nafees Hussain (Assistant Director Protocol DFA).
