Shaykh Al-Sayyid Muhammad bin Alavi al-Maliki al-Makki was one of the sole scholars resident in Saudi Arabia who openly propagated, preached, safeguarded and proved the truthfulness of the beliefs of the Ahl-us-Sunnah, through the power of his great knowledge and wisdom. He was a torch bearer of the true Islamic creed and was a true lover of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SAW). His book al-Mafaheem is proof of this and is evidence of the Shaykh's great and vast Hadithic knowledge. This book is taught in our Islamic studies courses in The Minhaj University. Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri started his annual UK and EU tour on 18th August 2004 from Glasgow. In the traditional Iqra Academy in Glasgow the 3-Day Spiritual Camp on Ash-Shifa has been the attraction point for many hundred students and brothers and sisters from all over UK.
Minhaj Internet Bureau (MIB) launched the website of the Institute of Classical Islamic Sciences (ICIS) that you can visit at www.minhaj.org/icis. Details of the admissions process for the coming academic year are given here. This institute intends to enlighten the new generation with the light of true faith (Iman) and the Holy teachings of Islam through classical and traditional sources. The lectures of Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri which are the main attraction of the course are based totally on classical sources of Islam, providing numerous new angles regarding particular subjects which have never been portrayed before. Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has ijazahs in the classical books which he will be teaching or using as reference material, the chains of which are unbroken to their authors, together with unbroken chains of asaneed going to the Prophet SAW. Amongst them is the shortest unbroken chain available to the Prophet Muhammad SAW through Imam Bukhari, which is the only one existing today. This sanad of sama'ah is also given to the graduates of ICIS by Shaykh-ul-Islam Prof. Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri amongst the other ijazah's of books of Hadith, Seerah and Tasawwuf.
Alhamdulillah by the blessings of Almighty Allah and His beloved Prophet (saw) approximately 400 women of both youth & older participants, from all over UK gathered to participate in this splendid programme including the Minhaj ul Qaran Sisters from Manchester. Walsar, London and Nelson. The programme commenced with a beautiful recitation of Surah Rahman followed by a welcome speech by Sr Khadijah. Sr Khadijah introduced the students who have recently returned from studying in ICIS (Institute of Classical and Islamic Sciences); and were fortunate enough to be taught directly from the greatest Islamic reviver of the Century, Sheykh-ul-Islam Tahir ul Qadri. She described the sacrifices they made for the sincere sake of gaining Islamic knowledge. She could wholly relate with the sisters because Sr Khadijah has also spent approximately two years working for the cause of Islam in Pakistan.
CWC (Central Working Committee) held a meeting on 29 and 30 June 2004 with Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri at the Central Secretariat of Tehreek-e-Minhaj-ul-Quran. In the meeting, the Invitation and Training Departments were handed over to Minhajians. Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri also approved a week long Training Camp for Minhajians from across the Country. It followed special preparations from first to eight August to arrange a successful Camp.

On the 2nd of June 2004 the award ceremony was held for the students of the Institute of Classical Islamic Sciences (ICIS). The ceremony was presided over by Professor Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri who is the Pro-Chancellor of the Minhaj University. There were many senior guests from the Minhaj University and central secretariat of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (MQI)

The Urdu speeches were about the seerah of the Prophet (saw) and the respect we must give our beloved Prophet (saw). A lot of evidence from the Qur’an & ahadith was discussed in relation to the high status of the Prophet (saw). The English lecture also discussed the seerah of the Prophet (saw) and how as Muslims we should try to prepare for our afterlife. Emphasis was also placed on joining an organization to work collectively for the betterment of the Muslim ummah.

Ash-Shaykh as-Sayyad Muhammad al-Yaqoubi al-Hassani touched down at Karachi International Airport where he was given a warm reception by the members, leaders and dignitaries of Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Karachi). The 53rd Birthday of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri conveys to us messages of both happiness and responsibility. The happiness is obvious and justified but only those people can justify their happiness, who are working day and night according to their abilities in propagating the message of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. The achievements of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri are immense, unique and unmatched.
