PAT & MQI delegation visits families of martyrs on Defence Day of Pakistan
A high level delegation of PAT and MQI met with the families of the martyrs on the occasion of Defence Day of Pakistan. They presented them with bouquet of flowers on behalf of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri and paid rich tributes to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the sake of the motherland.
PAT Chairman Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that the 6th of September is a milestone in the military history of our country. It is the day when the people and the armed forces got together to defend the territorial integrity and honour of the country and demonstrated a sense of purpose and national unity to successfully thwart off the Indian act of aggression. The war of 1965 was a shared struggle of our armed forces and the people of Pakistan which serves as a beacon of light for the succeeding generations.

SSP Tariq Aziz confesses to police firing on PAT workers
Tariq Aziz, SSP Discipline, admitted during the cross-examination that PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur indeed showed him the order of the Lahore High Court regarding the barriers that were placed on the orders of the court. He also admitted during the course of cross-examination that the police fired bullets at the PAT workers.
The cross-examination of ex-DCO Lahore Capt. (r) Muhammad Usman continued for the third day in connection with the private complaint in Model Town case. Reply to questions of the lawyers, the former DCO said that he was only ordered to remove barriers.
PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur has written a letter to Chief Minister Punjab Usman Buzdar in which he drew his attention to the appointment of former DCO Lahore Capt. (r) Usman as DG of Punjab Food Authority. He reminded the Chief Minister that Captain Usman is one of the main accused in the Model Town case.

Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri welcomes Senate resolution against blasphemous caricatures
Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that we welcome the passage of condemnatory resolution passed by the Senate of Pakistan against the blasphemous caricatures and the government’s decision to raise the matter at the UN. He asked the OIC to play its diplomatic, political and moral role to stop the competition in the Netherlands from being held.
Three more eye-witnesses record their statement in anti-terrorism court
Haji Muhammad Tufail, Haseeb Akbar and Qamar Habib, eye-witnesses of Model Town tragedy, recorded their statement in the private complaint filed by Minhaj-ul-Quran. They stated in front of the judge of anti-terrorism court that the police cordoned off residence and the secretariat of MQI on June 17, 2014.
