Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri’s special message on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat
MQI founding-leader and patron-in-chief Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Shab-e-Barat is the night of forgiveness, penance and the acceptance of the prayers. He said that this sacred night also heralds the start of the holy month of Ramadan. He asked the faithful to focus on their character building and reforming their conduct and beseech Allah Almighty to shower His blessings and mercy on them.
Shaykh-ul-Islam further said that the disorder in morality has led to deterioration of everything with the result that the difference between what is lawful and permissible and what is strictly forbidden has been obviated. He added that it is for this reason that Allah’s mercy and blessings have ceased to come down and today Muslim Ummah is afflicted with the hardships and tragedies.
Shaykh-ul-Islam said that Allah Almighty has ordained the believers to seek help with patience and establish prayer whenever they are confronted with difficulties. He said that all members of Muslim community, particularly, the youth should make a vow on the occasion of Shab-e-Barat to become punctual in the performance of prayers five times a day, keep their company pious and rethink their thoughts along positive lines.
Shaykh-ul-Islam said that prayer is a special form of worship. He said that Allah’s blessings await the prayers and supplications of His servants on the 15th of Shabaan. He said that the whole Muslim world should offer penance on this solemn occasion, adding that seeking forgiveness for the sins is one of the favorite prayers in the sight of Allah Almighty. He said that such sacred nights open up the door of repentance and are the source of pleasing Allah.
