Helping the needy is a religious duty: Khurram Nawaz Gandapur
Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) organized a Ramadan ration distribution event at Minhaj University Ground, where hundreds of deserving families received essential food supplies. The event was attended by Khurram Nawaz Gandapur, Secretary-General of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, and Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Director of Projects & Institutions at Minhaj Welfare Foundation, who personally distributed the Ramadan ration packages among the needy.
Speaking on the occasion, Khurram Nawaz Gandapur stated that Ramadan is a month of worship, sacrifice, and helping those in need. He said that Minhaj Welfare Foundation ensures the provision of ration to deserving families every year during this blessed month. He emphasized that helping the needy is not just the responsibility of welfare organizations but also of every financially capable individual.
The MQI leader further stated that the distribution of ration is ongoing nationwide under Minhaj Welfare Foundation, benefitting thousands of families. "Our doors are always open for the needy, and we ensure that no deserving person remains hungry during Ramadan," he added.
Syed Amjad Ali Shah, Director of Projects & Institutions, highlighted that Ramadan is a month of blessings and mercy, teaching us to care for one another and assist those in need. He stressed that according to the teachings of the Quran and Sunnah, helping the needy is not only a moral and social duty but also a great act of worship in Islam.
He noted that Minhaj Welfare Foundation distributes ration to thousands of deserving families each year to fulfill their basic daily needs. "Our goal is not just to distribute ration but to establish a social system where every needy person receives timely assistance," he remarked.
"Helping the needy is the best form of charity," he emphasized, urging philanthropists to step forward and contribute to this noble cause so that more families in need can be assisted.
The recipients of the Ramadan ration packages expressed their gratitude and happiness, thanking Minhaj Welfare Foundation for its generous support.
