Gift of Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s Books to the Library of Central Jail Hafizabad
Leaders of Minhaj-ul-Quran have donated hundreds of books authored by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri to the library of Central Jail Hafizabad.
The event was attended by Superintendent Jail Kamran Haider Awan, Deputy Superintendent Nisar Ahmed, and other prison officials, who warmly welcomed the central and district leaders of MQI.
Prominent personalities present at the occasion included Qari Riyasat Ali Chadhar, Haji Muhammad Yousaf Bakhtawar, Zahid Iqbal Hanjra Advocate, Muhammad Umar Bhatti Advocate, and Hafiz Tanveer Sajid.
Speaking at the event, Qari Riyasat Ali Chadhar, Secretary Coordination of MQI Punjab, stated that the organization is committed to donating Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s books as gifts to major libraries across the country. He emphasized that spreading the light of knowledge through such initiatives is the need of the hour to bring about positive change in society.
Superintendent Jail Kamran Haider Awan expressed gratitude to the MQI delegation, stating that there is no gift more valuable than a book. He lauded the initiative of enriching the prison library with Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s scholarly works, calling it a commendable step. He thanked the leaders of MQI for providing such educational opportunities to the prisoners.
Addressing the gathering, Chaudhry Sabir Hussain Gujjar highlighted the scholarly and social services of MQI, while Allama Hafiz Muhammad Shabbir Qadri shed light on Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri’s contributions to knowledge and scholarship. Colonel Ali Ahmed Awan described this initiative as a positive activity for prisoners.
The event concluded with a prayer led by Haji Muhammad Yousaf Bakhtawar, who expressed hope that these books would play a vital role in the intellectual and moral development of the inmates.
