Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate addresses Seminar on Sayyida-e-Kainat anniversary

Khana-e-Farhang Iran Lahore held a seminar on 23rd May, 2010 on the eve of the anniversary of Sayyida-e-Kainat Fatima-tu-Zahra (may Allah be well pleased with her). Eminent woman scholars, intellectuals and elite personalities had been invited to speak to the seminar. Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate, Secretary General Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League was invited as the guest of honour to address the seminar.

While presenting to the seminar her research paper on “Fatima-tu-Zahra, a perfect human being”, Sumaira Rafaqat told that love of the kindred of the Holy Prophet (blessings and peace be upon him) forms a part of our faith. Our devotion to the exalted members of the Holy Family is a key to the solution of our hardships afflicting us today. It is, however, tragic that the Muslim Umma is undergoing the most unfortunate fall of its history today due to the absence of the love of the pure kindred of the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace be upon him). We do not possess the character traits demonstrated by the Imam of the Imams and the Chief of the Women of Paradise. That has brought to us a curse, she said. Here she urged the participants of the seminar that they have to play their role in transferring the moral contents of the ‘holy kindred’ to our younger generations by inculcating in our character the moral and spiritual values demonstrated to us through the spiritual excellence practiced by Fatima-tu-Zahra (may Allah be well pleased with her). The womenfolk today need to acquire that morality and build up the individual and collective personality of society in pursuance of that model. She emphasized that to achieve that objective, awareness has to be roused among the womenfolk. She proudly declared that this is the uphill task Minhaj-ul-Quran Women League is performing under the most inspiring leadership of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. She invited the participants of the seminar to move forward and join the MWL to promote the Seera, life conduct and moral spiritual values practiced by Fatima-tu-Zahra (may Allah be well pleased with her). She emphatically pronounced that if the ladies inculcate the character traits of Fatima-tu-Zahra (may Allah be well pleased with her) in their conduct and bring up the children accordingly, we can bring about a society permeated with justice and equity, restoration of human rights, moderation and tolerance, human dignity, love and peace. We can in this way get rid of the plague of terrorism, bloodshed, and extremism, she said with a bang. Winding up her talk Miss Sumaira Rafaqat Advocate gave glad tidings that if we inculcate love of the Prophet’s kindred in our hearts, we shall win the pleasure of Allah and His Exalted Messenger and our trial and troubles will automatically end. Her talk was bigheartedly appreciated by the audience.

The seminar was addressed by the Iranian and Pakistani intellectuals as well.
