PAT strongly condemns police terrorism on the special persons
The maltreatment and baton-charging of visually impaired special persons by Lahore Police has hung humanity’s head in shame. If the fake rulers have a bit of honor, they should be perpetually ashamed of themselves. The rulers should get the police brutality on special persons on international day of the disabled registered in Guinness Book of World Record.
These views were expressed by PAT Secretary General Khurram Nawaz Gandapur while reacting to unfortunate incident in Lahore. He said that this brazen act of rulers who claim to be democratic has proven that not only the law, but the rulers and police are also equally blind. He said that heavy-handed action of police goons has made it clear there terrorism and corruption hold sway in this country in total disregard of law. He said that whole nation is grieved over the torture of visually impaired persons in Lahore.
Khurram Nawaz Gandapur said that PAT strongly condemns police torture and action against the special persons. He said that it is height of rulers’ insensitivity that they are still being indifferent despite this heart-wrenching incident in Lahore. He said that as per tradition, a few police officials will be suspended and the whole incident will be hushed up. He said that torture on the innocent protesters on the international day of the disabled is a slap on the face of civilized world. He said that there is a law of jungle in the country and there is no one to put a stop to this brutality. He asked the political and religious leaderships to rise above their expediency and play their effective role to stop this repression.
