The 57th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam under the banner of MUL

The 57th birthday of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri, the ambassador of global peace, was celebrated in the new campus of the Minhaj University Lahore with great love and zeal. The ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor of the Minhaj University Dr Nazir Romani. Central Ameer-e-Tehreek Sahibzada Miskeen Faiz-ur-Rahman Durrani, Nazim-e-Aala Minhaj-ul-Quran International and the Principal of Minhaj University Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi and Naib Nazim-e-Aala Sheikh Zahid Fayyaz also decorated the occasion as chief guests. The registrar of the Minhaj University Col. (R) Muhammad Ahmad, control examinations Chaudhary Muhammad Yaqub and deputy registrar G M Malik were also present on the occasion. Prof Sajjad-ul-Aziz and Abdul Quddus Durrani conducted the proceedings of the ceremony. A 57 pound cake was cut to celebrate the birthday and to give thanks to Allah Almighty and pay homage to Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. Minhaj Productions performed birthday songs for the audience. The students of Minhaj University felt so excited that they presented luddi and banghra dances to express their heartfelt joy. Besides, the students released 57 pigeons and balloons to mark the event.
The students of the College of Sharia and Islamic Sciences (COSIS), Minhaj Girls College, Minhaj College of Commerce, Minhaj Model School and Tahfeez-ul-Quran College made speeches throwing light on the services of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. They lauded the role of Shaykh-ul-Islam in connection with education, religion, global peace and promotion of inter-faith harmony. In the programme students sang happy birthday songs as well. Addressing the gathering, the Vice-Chancellor Dr Nazir Romani said, "The creation of Minhaj University is a great achievement of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. It is just one aspect of his all-encompassing accomplishments. It is for this great and historic achievement that his name will shine for many centuries to come. His personality is worth emulation. Due to Shaykh-ul-Islam's efforts for reviving Islamic values, he is a source of pride for the Muslim community all over the globe. The Principal of COSIS Dr Raheeq Ahmad Abbasi, while addressing the ceremony, said that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's personality is a ray of hope for Pakistan and the Muslim Umma. Every aspect of his multi-dimentional personality serves as model for us. He prayed for Shaykh-ul-Islam's health and long life, peace, solidarity and progress of the Pakistan and the entire Muslim Umma. The ceremony ended with prayers and thanks to Allah Most High.
