Helping the oppressed against tyranny is an act of worship – Dr. Hassan Qadri

Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, Dr. Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, addressed a Quranic lecture organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore at Aziz Bhatti Town, emphasizing that supporting the weak and the oppressed against tyranny and oppression is an act of worship. He stated that the more a person embraces generosity, openness, and selflessness, the more they are blessed with opportunities to do good. The broader one’s heart and capacity for tolerance, the brighter and more radiant their face becomes.

He highlighted that it is the duty of a preacher to speak with kindness and warmth, delivering the message of obedience to Allah and His Messenger (PBUH).

Dr. Hassan Qadri further explained that Allah Almighty honored the followers of the Prophet (PBUH) with the distinction of being the best Ummah because of their active participation in good deeds. Every believer is responsible for serving the faith sincerely and assisting one another in acts of virtue and righteousness.

He emphasized that both men and women share the title of the best Ummah, and the approach to inviting others to faith begins with oneself, then one's family, and gradually extends to the general public. The Prophet (PBUH) first shared the divine revelation with his noble wife, Hazrat Khadijah (RA), who became the first to embrace Islam.

The event saw the participation of Minhaj-ul-Quran Lahore President Professor Zulfiqar Ali, Central President of Minhaj Ulema Council Mufti Ghulam Asghar Siddiqui, Noorullah Siddiqui, Hafizullah Javed, Hafiz Ghulam Fareed, Chaudhry Amjad Hussain, Nazim Ali Rehmat, Haji Amjad Ali Qadri, Tariq Altaf, Captain (Retd.) Abdul Majeed, Shehbaz Hussain Bhatti, Engineer Shafqat Ali Mughal, Dr. Sultan Mahmood, Muhammad Afzal Bhatti, Ishtiaq Hanif Mughal, Riyazat Ali Chadhar, Haji Farukh Khan, Muhammad Inaam Mustafa, Moazzam Mustafa, Mumtaz Khan Khichi, Dr. Hamza Razzaq, along with presidents, organizers, members, and affiliates of various Minhaj-ul-Quran forums, including both men and women, in large numbers.
