Malaysia Sun: Pak opposition leader accuses Nawaz of reaching pact with U.S. to continue drone strikes

A leader of the Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) has claimed that Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif reached an agreement with the United States to continue with the drone strikes in Pakistan's tribal belt after a meeting with U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry.

Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri said Sharif also signed an agreement with Kerry to continue giving secretive information to the American Security Agency (ASA) unilaterally, without taking the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) into confidence, The Nation reports.

He claimed that the Pakistan Government will continue to deceive the media and the nation's citizens by making hue-and-cry about demanding an end to U.S.drone strikes.

Qadri further claimed that Sharif has also agreed to the privatization of 15 state-owned enterprises and to the purchase of American weapons worth billions of rupees. (ANI)
