South Africa: Islam is a religion of peace & love: Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri
A prestigious ‘Peace Conference’ was held in Johannesburg on April 17, 2017, under the banner of Minhaj-ul-Quran International. Chairman MQI Supreme Council Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri delivered his keynote speech to the Conference. MQI South Africa office bearers, Akhlaq Rana Asif, Allama Tahir Rafique, Muhammad Ateeq and a large number of members and associates of MQI attended the programme in large number.
It was with the recitation of the Holy Quran by Qari Shaukat Ali Mustafavi that the proceedings of the spiritual got underway. Qari Abdur Razzaq and Minhaj Naat Council had the honour of reciting the Naat. Noor Muhammad conducted the proceedings of the event.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri threw light on the respect and reverence for the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He quoted a Hadith which stated that Hazrat Jibrail (AS) educated the Companions about the manners of paying reverence to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He said that love of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) teaches the believers about love, for it was the Holy Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) who taught the world in general and the Muslims in particular about the need to promote love and peace. He (peace and blessings be upon him) ordained the believers to take care of their neighbors and share their worries.
Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri expounded the concept of ‘Iman, benevolence and excellence. Allama Sadiq Qureshi, senior MQI leader, said that in this day and age marked by challenges of different nature, MQI is doing a great job of conveying the true Islamic teachings to the youth. He said that this movement is working for restoration of the faith by protecting the ‘iman’ of the Muslims. He said that teachings of love, peace and harmony are spread from the platform of MQI.
Bilal Javed, President of MQI Johannesburg, threw light on scholarly services of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. A documentary on the welfare projects of Minhaj Welfare Foundation was shown. The audience were greatly impressed by the work of MWF for suffering humanity.
Newly convert woman Ms. Monika Monaab threw light on the efforts of promotion of Islam through speeches and DVDs of Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri. Allama Sadiq Qureshi made Dua to conclude the ceremony. A membership desk was set up where a large number of people joined MQI.
