Online European Mawlid organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran Netherlands
On Saturday 31st of October, Minhaj-ul-Quran Netherlands organized a beautiful online Mawlid Celebrations program. The main guest of this event was Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Qadri. Many participants around the world had registered for this blessed occasion. The event was livestreamed on Youtube channel of MQI Netherlands.
The host of the evening was sister Marinah Syed Shah, who did an amazing job during the two hour program.
Quran recitation
The program started with a beautiful soul touching Quran recitation by Qari Mujtaba of surah al-Duha. Sister Humaira Nouman Qadri did the English translation of the Quran recitation, based on the Irfan-ul-Quran of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri.
Guest speaker
The first guest speaker of the evening was introduced by the host. Ustadh Tasneem Sadiq al-Qadri has inspired many Dutch youth for the last 25 years from the platform of Minhaj-ul-Quran. In his talk he highlighted the time-management sunnah of Rasulullah (saw) when at home. Ustadh told the audience that according to a hadith from the Shama’il of Imam Tirmidhi, Rasulullah (saw) dived his time in three parts: one part was spent for Allah, one was spent with the family and one part was for himself (saw). The last part was again dived in one part for relaxation and one part for his (saw) closest companions. This was a short and powerful talk, and It is always a pleasure to listen to Ustadh’s unique way of explaining.
Mawlid Message of Youth across Europe
The MYL and MSL of different MQI branches of Europe compiled a beautiful Mawlid Message. In this message they praised the beloved Prophet (saw) in their own local language and expressed their love for Rasulullah (saw).
Minhaj Welfare Foundation interview
Part of the program was an interview with Shaykh Adnan Sohail of Minhaj Welfare Foundation UK & Europe. Shaykh Adnan Sohail is active as head of operations of Minhaj Welfare Foundation. Shaykh Adnan explained the audience during the interview how Minhaj Welfare Foundation operates worldwide, how the money is spent and who are the beneficiaries of the various projects.
Minhaj Naat Group from Paris
The Minhaj Naat group (MNG) consists of a group of talented French - Pakistani artists who wish to promote traditional music from the Indian subcontinent. Their aim is to introduce the Western audience to the universe of sufi musical tradition in Islam. During the program they sang odes of praise of Rasulullah (saw) and gave a spiritual boost to the program. Minhaj Naat Group also read one of their latest naats that they released on the special occasion of Rabi al-Awwal.
Main speaker
Our main speaker Shaykh Hammad Mustafa Al-Qadri gave a beautiful lecture about our beloved Prophet Muhammad (saw). He is the son of Shaykh Dr Hassan Mohi-ud-Din Qadri and Dr. Ghazala Hassan Qadri. He is the Grandson of Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He is a great Quran and Nasheed Reciter as well. He started his pursuit of Islamic Studies under the tutelage of his grandfather Sayyidi Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He received his degree in International Relations by graduating from the prestigious Margaret MacMillan Trinity One Program at the University of Toronto (Canada) this year. He is now pursuing his Master's Degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He is a role model for the youth of today.
Shaykh Hammad talked about the esteemed status of Rasulullah (saw) and the way the sahabah expressed their ultimate love and respect towards him (saw). Based on Quranic injunctions, prophetic ahadith and historical documentation, Shaykh Hammad explored this theme and inspired the audience to implement high standards of reverence towards Rasulullah (saw) in their own lives.
Shaykh Hammad, as always, managed to revive the dormant state of our hearts during this session. We pray that Allah blesses the Shaykh in his academic endeavors and give us the tawfiq to keep on learning from him and his blessed family.
With this talk, the Mawlid Online Celebrations ended.
