Ceremony held to unveil translation of Irfan-ul-Quran into Kashmiri language
A grand unveiling ceremony of Kashmiri translation of Irfan-ul-Quran was held in convocation hall of Shaikh-ul-Aalam Centre for Multidisciplinary Studies, University of Kashmir, Hazratbal Srinagar on 24.03.2022 wherein a large number of intellectuals, members of MQI, academicians and scholars participated.
The event was organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International India, Jammu & Kashmir (MQIIJK) and was hosted by its Srinagar unit. Syed Nade Ali, Director, Minhaj Productions India was the chief guest on occasion and Dr. Nisar Ahmad, Registrar, University of Kashmir & Dr. G.N Khaki, HOD Central Asian Languages, University of Kashmir were the guests of honour.
It is pertinent to mention that Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri translated the Holy Quran in Urdu titled as "Irfan-ul-Quran" and in English titled as "The Glorious Quran" and is now available in several languages across the globe. Irfan-ul-Quran is a unique translation of the Holy Quran, which is distinct from other available translations in a number of ways.
The programme started with recitation of Holy Quran by Qari Bakhtawar Ali followed by Naat e Shareef by Aqib Rasool both being the executive committee members of MQIIJK. The other people who spoke on the occasion were Dr. Rafi ud Din Makhdoomi (HOD), Qazi Abdul Qayoom (Chairman, Shah i Hamadan Trust Pampore), Syed Ishfaq Bukhari (Islamic Scholar), Mufti Abdul Hameed Nayeemi (Secretary Ulama wa Khutba Council), Abdul Rashid Khan (Ex. President MQIIJK), Mukhtar Ahmad Tantray (Ex. Secretary, MQIIJK), Dr. Arshid ul Qadri (President, MQIIJK) & Muhammad Ashraf Zargar (General Secretary, MQIIJK). Prof. Noor Mohammad Baba (University of Kashmir), Syed Mudasir Geelani, Representative from Al Markaz ul Islamia, Peerzada Mushtaq Ahmad Masoodi (General Secretary, Shah i Hamadam Trust Pampore) were also present on the occasion.
A congratulatory audio message conveyed by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri was also played during the programme.
Moulana Tariq Ahmad Saqafi (Secretary Ulama wa Khutaba Council, MQIIJK, Anantnag) beautifully recited Qasida Burdah Shareef followed by welcome address by Muhammad Ashraf Zargar, General Secretary, MQIIJK. Moulana Asif ul Qadri (Secretary Ulama wa Khutba Council, MQIIJK, Ganderbal) coordinated the whole event.
The organizers expressed gratitude to the collaborators viz; Markaz-i-Noor, Centre for Shaikh ul Aalam Studies, University of Kashmir & Social Media Team of MQIIJK for their enormous contribution in making the event a grand success.
