Copenhagen: University students visit MQI Center to learn about Ramadan

University students visit MQI Center to learn about Ramadan

Minhaj-ul-Quran International Valby, in association with University College Copenhagen, arranged a special visit for 23 last year students of teacher training course who are studying religion and citizenship under the supervision of associate professor Eva Lindhardt. The visit was arranged to participate in the Jummah prayer and to learn about the background and inner meaning of Ramadan.

The sermon was delivered by Ustad Hamza Yousaf, who gave a comprehensive understanding of the importance of Ramadan and its significance in the lives of Muslims. The students were given a chance to ask questions and interact with Dr. Nadeem Asim, who was the main guide of the day. The Q&A session kept going for several hours, and the students showed a keen interest in learning more about Islam.

At the end of the session, President of MQI DK, Dr. Urfan Zahoor Ahmed, presented a free copy of the translation of Irfan-ul-Quran to Danish to all the visitors. This generous donation was sponsored by Sibghat Riaz, President of MQI Valby, and his team. This initiative proved to be very beneficial as it positively influenced future teachers of religion to teach the real portrayal of Islam.

MQI was selected amongst all the 180 mosques of Denmark for this special cooperation, which will continue in the future. The visit was a great success and provided a unique opportunity for the students to learn about Islam from a firsthand experience. We hope that this collaboration will continue to strengthen the relationship between the university and the mosque, and ultimately contribute to the understanding and acceptance of Islam in Denmark.
