Muslims won the Battle of Badr due to faith in Allah: Shaykh-ul-Islam
In a statement, MQI founding-leader Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that Gazwa-e-Badr (The Battle of Badr) was a decisive battle between the forces of falsehood and the truth. He said that with the support of Allah, the truth overcame the falsehood and established itself as a paramount force. The message from the Battle of Badr, he said, is that the victory does not depend on numerical superiority but on the strength of one’s convictions and the power of the ideology.
That statement that Shaykh-ul-Islam made marked Youm-ul-Furqan said that the subsequent victories achieved by Muslims owed themselves to the Battle of Badr. He said when man establishes his unflinching faith in Allah and only looks up to Him, He provides His aid, help, and support from the unknown sources and does not let him lose.
Throwing light on the details of Ghazwa-e-Badr, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the faithful did not possess means and instruments of war; were poor economically and far less in numbers than their adversaries, they still beat the odds and emerged victorious, simply because they had their trust in Allah Almighty. They believed in what the Holy Prophet (SAW) told them about. The companions did not see Allah but had a strong conviction that Allah is One and He is the only Master of the universe.
Shaykh-ul-Islam said that the companions considered every word of the Holy Prophet (SAW) as the truth and it was this power of conviction that saw them through all the hardships and battles that came their way. He said that unwavering conviction is actually a perfect faith. He said he who has his faith in Allah instead of worldly possessions, He opens the doors of His support from the unknown sources.
