Brisbane: Shaykh-ul-Islam delivers a message of Peace and Harmony
His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri graced a special meet and greet session at the Frangipani Ballroom in the Emporium Hotel, Brisbane. The event, organized by Minhaj-ul-Quran International Brisbane, Australia, was attended by indigenous elder of Australia, Aunty Dalmea; former Minister Assisting the Prime Minister and former Minister for Citizenship and Multicultural Affairs Hon Gary Hardgrave; Assistant Minister for Education and Youth Justice Corinne McMillan; Senior Sergeant from South Brisbane Dallas Kowald; CEO of Islamic College of Brisbane Ali Kadri; and politicians, religious leaders, authorities, the police department, and many prominent guests.
Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI, Dr. Ghazala Hassan Qadri, President of MWL International, Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri, Mrs. Safa Hammad Qadri, and Shaykh Ahmed Mustafa al-Arabi al-Qadri accompanied His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam on his arrival in Brisbane.
Shaykh-ul-Islam began by expressing gratitude to MQI Brisbane and praising the unique beauty of Australia and Canada. He fondly recalled his 2011 visit to Australia, describing its multiculturalism as a "beautiful bucket of different colors" where people from all creeds share love and respect.
He then delved into Islam's foundational principles, highlighting the universal messages of faith common to all religions. He emphasized that a good person gives rather than takes, fosters love, and upholds moral values. He spoke about Islam's focus on mercy and compassion, referencing his books "Islam on Mercy and Compassion," "Islam on Serving Humanity," and "Muhammad the Merciful." He stressed that Islam seeks ease and goodness for humanity, promoting a cordial connection with our Lord.
Shaykh-ul-Islam discussed Islam's balanced and moderate nature, avoiding extremism and promoting ease, happiness, and ethical living. He emphasized the importance of kindness, respect, and mercy towards others, regardless of faith or background, and noted the inclusion of Jewish tribes in the ummah, reflecting Islam's inclusive social principles.
He concluded by highlighting the importance of living a balanced and moderate life, cultivating kindness, and striving for peace and harmony in society.

Kadri, who arrived in Australia in 2003 and has since become a successful entrepreneur and advocate, emphasized the significance of Dr. Qadri's work. "Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri's teachings provide a roadmap for a more peaceful and cohesive society," Kadri stated.
