Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri's Inspirational Address Unites Diverse Audiences at Brisbane Mega Conference

His Eminence Shaykh ul Islam Dr Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri graced the Brisbane Mega Conference at Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Brisbane, Australia. The event, titled "Prophet Muhammad: A Role Model for Humanity," celebrated unity, love, and multiculturalism, reflecting Brisbane’s vibrant diversity.

Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council, Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, President of MQI, Dr. Ghazala Qadri, President of MWL International, Mrs. Fizzah Hussain Qadri, Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri, Mrs. Safa Hammad Qadri, and Shaykh Ahmed Mustafa al-Arabi al-Qadri accompanied His Eminence Shaykh-ul-Islam at the Brisbane Mega Conference.

Shaykh-ul-Islam began by praising Brisbane and Australia for their values of inclusivity and mutual respect, calling the city a model for multicultural harmony. He described the event as a manifestation of togetherness and the beautiful diversity of humankind.

His talk took the audience back 1400 years to pre-Islamic Arabia, describing a society devoid of justice and plagued by dishonesty and oppression. He introduced the Holy Prophet (pbuh) as a transformative figure who brought a message of justice, compassion, and spiritual awakening. The audience stood in respect when the Prophet’s name was mentioned, showcasing their deep emotional connection to the narrative.

He recounted the early Muslims' migration to Abyssinia, highlighting King Negus’s asylum granted after Jafar bin Abi Talib’s moving speech. This episode underscored the universal appeal of the Prophet’s message and the early Islamic community’s commitment to peace and justice.

Shaykh-ul-Islam discussed the Holy Prophet's (pbuh) revolutionary changes in international law and human rights. After the Battle of Badr, the Holy Prophet (pbuh) introduced a shift where captives could earn freedom by educating children, promoting literacy and human dignity. He also illustrated the Prophet’s unparalleled generosity through anecdotes of his aid to the needy and his boundless compassion.

The Holy Prophet’s (pbuh) exemplary behavior towards his family and neighbors was highlighted, emphasizing that the best among people are those best to their families.
A key highlight was the Holy Prophet’s (pbuh) unmatched capacity for forgiveness and mercy, demonstrated during the conquest of Mecca where he declared, "Today is the day of mercy," and forgave his enemies.

Shaykh-ul-Islam also recounted a narration of the Holy Prophet (pbuh) standing in respect for a Jewish funeral procession, highlighting the universal respect for all humans, a cornerstone of Islamic teachings.
