Hong Kong: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri Launches Translation Initiative and Strengthens Community Ties
His Eminence Shaykh ul Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri graced the meet and greet session, held at Pakistan Club Hong Kong.
Accompanying His Eminence Were Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council; Prof. Dr. Hussain Mohi-ud-Din Qadri, and Shaykh Hammad Mustafa al-Madani al-Qadri.
The event focused on a translation project that highlighted Islamic teachings and their profound impact on both Muslim and non-Muslim audiences. His Eminence delivered a keynote speech, emphasizing the core values of Islam and the virtues of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Shaykh-ul-Islam delved into themes of compassion, humanity, and devotion, underscoring the Prophet Muhammad's exemplary qualities of integrity, compassion, and justice. He stressed the importance of embodying these virtues in everyday life.
Shaykh-ul-Islam also elucidated the meanings of Islam, Iman, and Ihsan: Islam signifies peace and spreading peace to others; Iman represents security and ensuring security for others; Ihsan reflects excellence, beauty, and generosity. He emphasized that peace is the foundation of Islam.
Addressing a diverse audience of both Muslims and non-Muslims, His Eminence shared personal experiences and reflections on Islamic virtues, aspiring to integrate these values into his own life and encouraging others to do the same.
His Eminence concluded by expressing gratitude to the contributors of the translation project and the event, voicing his enthusiasm for the potential impact of these initiatives. He encouraged continued exploration of Islamic teachings as a means to promote understanding and peace through education and dialogue.
In a significant announcement, His Eminence revealed an agreement to place English-language Islamic books in Hong Kong’s public libraries, a project to be facilitated by Dr. Rizwanullah. This initiative, expected to have a meaningful impact on the community, will include books translated into Chinese and English.
