Stockholm: Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri Unveils "The Constitution of Medina and the Concept of the Welfare State"
Dr. Hassan Mohiuddin Qadri, Chairman of the Supreme Council of Minhaj-ul-Quran International, delivered a keynote lecture at the prestigious launch of his book The Constitution of Medina and the Concept of the Welfare State in Stockholm, Sweden.
The event brought together distinguished guests, including H.E. Mr. Bilal Hayee, Ambassador of Pakistan to Sweden; Hassan Bostan, General Secretary of the Minhaj European Council; Yusuf Cesmeli, President of the Islamic Culture Centre Sweden; Dr. Arif Mahmud Kisana, columnist, author, and President of Akhuwat Foundation Sweden; Sardar Taimur Aziz Kashmiri, President of the Kashmir Council Sweden; Faiz Alam Qadri; and Baber Shafee Sheikh, President of MQI Sweden. Representatives from various Muslim organizations and the Pakistani community in Stockholm also attended.
During his address, Dr. Hassan Qadri highlighted the enduring principles of governance, inclusivity, and social welfare embedded in the historic Constitution of Medina. He emphasized the relevance of these principles in shaping contemporary welfare states, stressing their potential to promote harmony and equitable development in today’s societies.
