On 20 June 2026, Minhaj-ul-Quran International Denmark hosted a solemn conference at its central headquarters to honor Imam Hussain (A.S.) and the enduring legacy of Karbala. The gathering began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an, followed by heartfelt tributes to the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and devotional poetry honoring the blessed Family of the Prophet (Ahl al-Bayt). A diverse group of distinguished guests was welcomed on stage, including Muhammad Bilal Uppal, President of the European Council; Qaisar Zubair Najeeb, President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Denmark; Dr. Urfan Ahmed, Director of the Education Board Europe; Abu Bakr Mustafa Al-Qadri; Hafiz Sajjad Ahmad, Senior Vice President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Denmark; Sheikh Ali Imran, Vice President of Minhaj-ul-Quran Denmark; Shahnawaz Uppal, Rizwan Ahmad Chaudhry, and Chaudhry Muhammad Akram Jora, all serving in their respective leadership roles. Others included Saif Shahbaz, Sajjad Ahmad Sahi, Allama Faiz Rasool, Allama Saad-ur-Rehman Alvi, and Allama Manzoor Ahmad, representing Minhaj-ul-Quran Amager, Minhaj-ul-Quran NV, and Minhaj-ul-Quran Valby.
The keynote address, delivered by Allama Muhammad Zeeshan Al-Qadri—Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran London and Principal of Al-Minhaj Institute—drew upon Shahadat-e-Imam Hussain (A.S.) by Shaykh-ul-Islam Dr. Muhammad Tahir-ul-Qadri. He reflected on Karbala’s enduring significance, the unparalleled sacrifice of Imam Hussain (A.S.) and the Prophet’s Family, and the moral, spiritual, and educational lessons embedded in this chapter of history.
A large turnout of men and women filled the hall, paying tribute to the blessed Ahl al-Bayt (A.S.) and the martyrs of Karbala with evident affection and reverence. The event’s proceedings were carefully steered by Allama Dr. Hafiz Muhammad Idrees Al-Azhari, Director of Minhaj-ul-Quran Denmark, whose capable moderation ensured a smooth flow of sessions and meaningful dialogue.
In a closing address, Qaisar Zubair Najeeb expressed gratitude to everyone who participated and shared a thoughtful message on the importance of nurturing character and moral training in children. After the program, attendees were invited to a Dinner, a gesture that reinforced the sense of community and shared reverence among all present.
