MQI Glasgow holds Mawlid-un-Nabi Conference (SAW)

With the advent of the blessed and holy month of Rabi-ul-Awwal 1432, Minhaj-ul-Quran International (Glasgow) organized Mawlid-un-Nabi (S.A.W.) Conference in connection with the birth anniversary of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) on February 12, 2011.

Ameer-e-Tehreek Allama Shahid Baber opened the proceedings of the programme by welcoming the participants to the center of Minhaj-ul-Quran International and thanked them for attending the blessed gathering of Mawlid-un-Nabi (S.A.W.). He urged the participants to get various lectures and books on Mawlid-un-Nabi (S.A.W.) and gift it to family and friends. He also shed some light on the blessed life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). The programme commenced with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Qari Syed Nauman Jamati. After the recitation of the Holy Quran, Muhammad Adeel Qasmi from Minhaj Naat Council and Qari Syed Nauman recited eulogies and salutations in the honour of our beloved Holy Prophet (S.A.W.). These Naat Khawaan electrified the atmosphere with their melodious voices.

Shaykh Rehan Ahmed Al-Azhari delivered a speech in English on the topic of Enjoining Good and Forbidding Evil. He proved in the light of the Quranic verse that Almighty Allah connected success with enjoining good and forbidding evil. So as a Muslim, it is our primary duty to reform ourselves and propagate the mercies of our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.). Minhaj-ul-Quran International life membership certificates were awarded to the new members by Maulana Mufti Akmal Qadri.As the main feature of the event, renowned Scholar Maulana Mufti Akmal Qadri delivered a thought-provoking speech and spread pearls of wisdom in Urdu explaining the beautiful daily life examples of seeking knowledge and how to implement them practically in our lives. He clarified misconceptions with regard to reading Salat-o-Salaam on our beloved Prophet (S.A.W.) and in doing so gave references from Ahadith and verses of the Holy Quran.

The gathering concluded with greetings and salutations upon the Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) and the blessed Family and Companions of Holy Prophet (S.A.W.) by Muhammed Adeel Qasmi and Qari Sayyid Nauman Shah, followed by an emotional Dua by Maulana Mufti Akmal Qadri.
